Tis the Season

The ward party tonight was great! My apologies to those who missed it. Good food, good friends, and good music. The activities committee did a great job putting it together. One of the highlights of the night was the ugly sweater contest. There was a lot of ugly sweaters, but only one winner.
Doesn't Danny look great!
The food was Delicious! A big thanks goes out to the chefs of the ward
Aren't they the cutest people you ever did see!?

Miguel can't get enough of the food!
All in all tonight was a huge success thanks to a lot of people. Enjoy the pictures!
The band was great!
Thanks Activities committee for finding them

I think we need another talent show! We've got some
great dancers!
Jordan keeps asking me to take his picture...
I think he likes his face a little to much ;)
The night ended with a message from the bishop. That man is truly inspired. Here's a little message from me however.
My life is very dear to me. Six years to the date I sat in the hospital on my death bed. I was released 3 days before Christmas due to some INCREDIBLE doctors. There's a lot of things, I realized during that time, I can live without, but there's one thing that I'll always want forever. My family. At this Christmas time, remember, it's not the gifts and presents that we need to worry about, we already have a fabulous gift! We're alive. Don't ever take that for granted. Take this time during the holidays to spend it with your families, get to know them better then you ever have before, and remember we wouldn't be here without our Savior! I love all your cute faces! Even yours Jordan! I love to see how happy you are each week. I hope you all have a great Christmas!
Happy Holidays from your Historian,

What we do on the weekends

For those of you that don't know, I work at the murray ice rink on the weekends. I was visited by one of the many studs in the ward this weekend- Tim Pollock. Tim had the chance to win a car at a grizzlies game, so I really got to see him twice, once to take a few practice shots on the nets and then he showed up the next night! Tim's not a bad shot after all! He ended up winning a free oil change! Wait till you see him go. He might not have won a car, but he's got some real skills on the ice!
Now what man can do that!?
It's like doing the can can on ice!
Look at that boy go! He's single ladies! You might want to hit him up! Get some digits :)

Lot's of love from your historian,

Rock Climbing!

Nick took a stab at the climbing wall
and looked fabulous!
It didn't matter if you were a professional or a newbie like me, eveyone seemed to have a great time rock climbing tonight. (11/14/11) The whole stake was invited to come and from my observations it was a success! I know at least two numbers were given out and if I had to guess a few more as well! I saw people conquering their fear of heights and others playing spider man on the wall (Bryan Eldredge, thats right! I saw you!) All in all, tonight was superb and I'm glad I got to spend the evening with you!
David came to enjoy a night with
friends!
We've got a spider man in the ward
Look at Gabe go!

Look at those boys go! What studs!

These are who I like to call "the beefs".
I crack myself up sometimes :)

Well my friends, I hope you had as good as a time as I did! Keep it real!
Lots of love from your historian!

p.s. If you made it to the bottom of this, thank you! Please forgive my formatting, I really did try to make it look a lot cooler

Beautiful People

What an excellent night! Cookies, Funfetti frosting, sprinkles, root beer floats... who could ask for more! Tonight (11/7/11) we decorated cookies and took them to members in the ward. It was great to see everyone having a good time. But you don't need me to tell you! Take a look for yourself!
For those of you that can't see, that cookie has a perfect heart on it!
We love cookies!
Can't get much better than that!
Root beer Floats!

Since it's November, I thought I'd share some things I'm grateful for
1. Icecream- A root beer float wouldn't be a float without that magical thing!
2. My family- Without them my life would be sooo boring.
3. Good friends- Friends make you who you are, I could be a drug dealer today! Thank goodness I chose the right friends
4. Funfetti cake- holy cow! Funfetti cakes makes everything happier. If you haven't tried it, get on it
5. A roof over my head- I may not have the nicest house in the world, but it keeps me warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and my house has become a home
6. My camera!- These beautiful pictures wouldn't be up here without that bad boy!
7. My voice- Don't take for granted the words that come out of your mouth.
8. My job- In this world, in this economy, what 18 year old has such a fantastic job like mine!
9.My testimony- It's always nice that I can turn to that when the world comes crashing in on me.
10. YOU!!- Family night, this blog, our ward, would not be possible without all you beautiful people!
There's always the big things that we see, a house, a bed, our familes, the church, but what about the little things? Chairs to sit on, belts to hold our pants on, Pants to wear?!? We could be going naked! Things to remember this month! Lots of love from your historian!

Tonks and Dr. Who
Hot Rod's here to save the day!
Edward Cullen?! In Utah?!
Hopefully a few numbers were given out and a few friends were made! Keep it real my single friends!
Lots of love from your fellow historian,
